Women Conquer Business is a digital marketing operations consultancy designed to help entrepreneurs and small businesses solve their marketing and technology challenges, streamline processes, and amplify their impact. The company is a safe space for women and nonbinary founders and business owners to get help with anything and everything that’s holding them back. Owner and founder Jen McFarland built Women Conquer Business because she wanted to encourage people with great ideas to reach their full potential.  She believes that anything is possible - especially with technology!


Jen came to Freedom Makers in the fall of 2022 and quickly selected experienced FM Alonti Brooks as her executive assistant. 


Alonti has over 10 years of experience in Customer Service, Accounting, and Administrative Support. She had worked  CEOs in the past, assisting them in various aspects. Alonti is excellent at efficiently managing client calendars, ensuring her clients remain well-organized and optimized for productivity. The two immediately clicked as they shared a passion for trying new platforms for the benefit of Jen’s business. 

A place to gather and connect.

Jen asked Alonti to look into an online event called Podfest Expo.  She simply forwarded the email to Alonti for her review. Alonti learned that Podfest Expo is a community of people who are interested in and passionate about sharing their voices and messages with the world. Alonti knew this was right up Jen’s alley and took the initiative to apply for her.


Alonti recalls, "I immediately started looking into the event and saw that it broke two Guinness Book of World Records for the Largest Attendance for a Virtual Podcasting Conference in one week! I knew Jen would love to be a part of this event."


Alonti knew that Jen was busy onboarding new clients and working on other projects, so her time was limited. She wanted to make registering for the event as easy as possible for Jen, so Alonti took the initiative Jen had entrusted her with. 


Alonti completed the application and submitted all of the information needed (social media links, headshot, and information on what her presentation would be about) before the due date. Alonti took information from their podcast pitch and used it to complete the application.

Jen was thrilled when she received the email telling her that she was chosen to present a 5-minute case study. She was shocked when they sent her the promotional flyers, and her photo was on them because Alonti took the initiative to submit all of the information needed when applying.


The initiative Alonti took was impressive and a big boost to Jen's business. Looking back, Jen says,"I didn't know that I needed an Alonti until I got one 🙌" 

No one can do it alone.

The partnership between Jen and Alonti has grown and flourished. Jen says, "I thoroughly enjoy working with Alonti. She's been a tremendous help to my organization. I can't imagine life without her. She is great with managing my calendar and emails. She got my Asana up and moving. She helps me manage multiple contracts and clients." 


As for Alonti, she enjoys working with Jen and leveraging her skills and experiences to help her grow and run her business smoothly and efficiently. She reports, "We work well together, and she values my feedback, and I value hers. We are always looking at ways we can work more efficiently together, and if one thing doesn't work, we find something else. We are both flexible and always continue to learn and grow together, which is very important!"
