A Freedom Maker's Initiative Creates a Big Business Impact


Women Conquer Business is a digital marketing operations consultancy designed to help entrepreneurs and small businesses solve their marketing and technology challenges, streamline processes, and amplify their impact. The company is a safe space for women and nonbinary founders and business owners to get help with anything and everything that’s holding them back. Owner and founder Jen McFarland built Women Conquer Business because she wanted to encourage people with great ideas to reach their full potential. She believes that anything is possible - especially with technology!

Jen knew she needed to get a handle on her email, but it was a task she had avoided for far too long. She wanted someone who not only understood her mission and appreciated her dry sense of humor and love of dad jokes

The Challenge:

As a course creator, podcast host, and business strategist, Jen was swimming in tasks that pulled her away from her zone of genius. Client follow-ups were getting delayed. Email was becoming a bottleneck. She’d forward leads or opportunities to herself and forget to follow up. And the digital clutter? Out of control.


She knew she needed help, but more than that—she needed someone with initiative and creativity, who understood her values and could get things done without being micromanaged.

The Solution:

Jen was paired with Freedom Maker Alonti, a seasoned executive assistant with over a decade of experience in admin, customer service, and calendar management. From the start, they clicked. Jen loved trying new platforms, and Alonti was more than up for the challenge.


One day, Jen forwarded an email about a podcasting event, Podfest Expo, and asked Alonti to look into it.  Alonti learned that Podfest Expo is a community of people who are interested in and passionate about sharing their voices and messages with the world. Alonti knew this was right up Jen’s alley and took the initiative to apply for her.


Alonti researched the event, drafted the speaker application, gathered Jen’s headshot, social links, and even crafted a session description using their existing podcast pitch. She submitted the whole package before the deadline without needing to ask twice.


A few weeks later, Jen received an unexpected email:

She had been selected to present a case study at Podfest. Not only that - her face was on the promo flyer!

Impact:

The partnership between Jen and Alonti has grown and flourished. Jen says, "I thoroughly enjoy working with Alonti. She's been a tremendous help to my organization. I can't imagine life without her. She is great with managing my calendar and emails. She got my Asana up and moving. She helps me manage multiple contracts and clients." 


As for Alonti, she enjoys working with Jen and leveraging her skills and experiences to help her grow and run her business smoothly and efficiently. She reports, "We work well together, and she values my feedback, and I value hers. We are always looking at ways we can work more efficiently together, and if one thing doesn't work, we find something else. We are both flexible and always continue to learn and grow together, which is very important!"

Discovery

We learn about your business and your goals and help you craft a unique opportunity description before we send it out to our community of Freedom Makers.

2.

Selections

We identify potential matches based on skills, personality fit, and experience. You'll meet up to four "finalists" who have expressed interest in your opportunity. The final choice is yours!

3.

Onboarding & Kick Off

You are onboarded into our system and we host a Kick Off Call where we help you and your Freedom Maker build your task roadmap, categorize your priorities, and set clear expectations.
