Find yourself missing crucial steps or are things falling through the cracks? It might be time to look into a task management tool. At Freedom Makers, we started using Process Street to create checklists for certain processes. As our business grew, we knew we needed something with more features that would help us to scale our business. Enter Asana - our company’s lifesaver.

Asana is a project management online platform that helps remote teams and in person teams stay on track. It keeps everyone focused and organized while tracking projects and tasks. Since it is online, it is ideal for remote teams because everyone on the team can keep up with everyone else’s progress on tasks and overall progress of projects. Through such features as messaging and tagging people, it is easy to communicate effectively with your team.

We started using Asana about 2 years ago and haven’t looked back. It allows our team to stay on the same page and make sure we aren’t missing deadlines. Here are just some of the features that we love using on Asana:

  • Daily Tasks - track your tasks that need to be done today
  • Portfolios - Keep an organized file of the same type of project (for example - have a portfolio full of your new clients going through your onboarding process)
  • Projects - create tasks and subtasks that will help you complete your project
  • Goals - track company wide goals, add collaborators, create subgoals, and track progress
  • Messaging - shoot over a quick message to get the status of a project or send them a link to something you found interesting
  • Creating workflows using templates - create templates to use over and over, never miss a step!
  • Integrate with our other tech tools - integrate Calendly, Gmail, Slack, Zoom and hundreds more
  • Meeting agendas & notes - we keep track of meeting minutes and follow up tasks so nothing gets missed and deadlines are met
  • Create templates to be used again and again saving time with future projects

We’d highly recommend investing in a task management software - you’d be surprised how much it can improve your productivity!
