Choose Your Freedom

As many of you reading this blog already know, we have changed our name!  We are now Freedom Makers Virtual Services or FMVS for short.  We love our new name because it reflects the full spectrum of services we offer and the growth our company is experiencing. 

Thanks to many factors, we grew over 200% in 2021!  More and more small businesses and entrepreneurs are seeking the services our talented and professional military spouse virtual assistants provide. 

It is thrilling for our internal team to be able to extend many new, dynamic, and diverse work opportunities (with new and old clients alike!) to our Freedom Makers. 

To remain agile and responsive to our clients through our growth, we increased our internal team with five new Freedom Makers to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.  Last year, we also got together for the first time in our company's seven-year history!  The management team met for a week-long Strategic Planning Session to brainstorm and plan our goals for 2022 and beyond. 

A STATEMENT OF VISION FOR FREEDOM MAKERS VIRTUAL SERVICES

During our planning session, we worked hard to envision the future for our company -- where we see it going and how best to get it there.  FMVS is positioned to meet the unique challenges of small business owners and become part of the solution to reduce military spouse unemployment and underemployment nationwide. 

What we see as possible is awesome, and we have spent the last few months working out how best to execute our vision while remaining true to our ideals.

Freedom Makers Virtual Services is growing, expanding, and scaling, and we are determined to remain committed to our firmly-held core values and guiding principles through the process.  These practices and ideals make Freedom Makers Virtual Services unique, special, and different from other companies working in our business space.

How do we best communicate who we are and what we stand for to our clients, Freedom Makers, and potential partners?

The answer came in the form of our new mantra or watch phrase… Choose Your Freedom! 

CORE VALUES = FREEDOM THROUGH PROFESSIONALISM

Our Freedom Maker Virtual Services core values are reliability, accuracy, decision making, and communication.

These core values are practices that have become part of our culture.  They help define our approach and the way our company operates.  We expect all Freedom Makers who find work through us to understand and agree to uphold these values, and we work hard to hold ourselves accountable to them at all times.  We strive to be reliable, accurate, proactive, and communicative when working with each other internally and in all our dealings and interactions with our clients.

Our core values are how we carry out our guiding principles.

OUR GUIDING PRINCIPLES SERVE AS OUR ANCHOR

When Laura founded FMVS in 2015, she wanted to do things differently.  Rather than build a competitor to other virtual assistant staffing agencies, Laura wanted Freedom Makers to strive to achieve its own levels of excellence.  Continually striving for excellence would guarantee that our company would never settle for standards set by other companies.

Once we achieve a level of excellence, it becomes FMVS' new standard.  Then we strive toward the next level of excellence. 

Always striving for excellence defines how our company is, how we operate, and why we make the choices we do.  Striving for Excellence - along with Freedom and Transparency - are Freedom Makers' guiding principles. 

Striving For Excellence has been our watch phrase for the last year.  It is hung on our website, put forward in our collateral, is included as part of our marketing strategy, and is called out verbally when making decisions or deciding which new path to take. 

Now we feel it is time to add to that mantra.

CHOOSE YOUR FREEDOM

We thought long and hard about what we wanted to say next.  We believe our new watch phrase should tie into our name and directly reflect our guiding principles. 

Freedom was the obvious choice. 

Freedom Makers Virtual Services is structured around what freedom represents.  Freedom for military spouses who find work through us to choose their clients, choose their working hours and choose the amount of time each week they will work.  They also have the freedom to take their work with them when the military reassigns their family to a new duty station, and they have the freedom to grow their careers as they see fit.

Freedom is also what we strive to provide our small business clients.  Freedom from stress and the daily, mundane, and tedious tasks that steal valuable hours from each day.  Freedom from working IN their business when they could be working ON their business. 

Freedom also comes to our clients by reducing the commitment or financial burden they might find encumbering.  We do not require a client to buy a set amount of hours or commit to a budget when they find a Freedom Maker through us.  We understand that small business budgets fluctuate, and the amount of work and income ebbs and flows.  We provide the freedom for clients to use our services as much or as little as they need.

We believe that in your work, and in your life, you should have the power to choose the things that are most important to you.  With Freedom Makers Virtual Services, we want you to Choose Your Freedom.

Choose Your Freedom is for our clients AND our military spouse virtual assistants.  We are confident that it speaks to the freedom built into the core of who we are, how we operate, and what we provide.

We are thrilled to be growing!  We are always so proud of the hard work, dedication, and value our military spouse virtual assistants deliver, and we are beyond grateful for the trust our clients have placed in us.  We are excited about our new name - Freedom Makers Virtual Services - and we are proud to add Choose Your Freedom alongside Striving for Excellence to proudly proclaim what we stand for.
