Partnerships and Why They Are Important To Us

all hands in to celebrate partnership success

Freedom Makers’ mission is, and will always be, to help military families and small business owners. Freedom Makers has found that they have been able to grow due to the many partnerships they have formed since their beginning days. Partnerships have become critical buttresses to Freedom Makers’ continued scaling and growth.

Partnerships allow a company to expand its reach, increase revenue, and increase visibility. They amplify a shared interest and serve both companies or entities by building brand awareness and sharing resources.

Partnerships can help a company expand its marketing capabilities, gain clientele, and provide greater credibility throughout the business space. They are also excellent sources for referrals and shared offerings. Partnerships take on different shapes and offer various benefits, but the outcome of a productive partnership is the synergy that leads to a combined effect greater than the outcome of a solo endeavor.

In a meaningful partnership, both entities “win.”

In our case, Freedom Makers has specifically sought
partnerships with companies who share our mission and values - which is why they are so important to us!

PARTNERSHIPS SHARE MISSION AND PURPOSE

For example, our strong partnership with
Re4ormed is valuable to both of us, and to those we serve. Re4ormed is a service-disabled veteran-owned business that provides affordable administrative, financial, legal, and development tools to the entire ecosystem of veteran-owned and military-spouse-owned businesses. Re4ormed has actively promoted Freedom Makers to their network and channel partners, which has increased our client roster and provided more work opportunities for our virtual assistants

In return, Freedom Makers also promotes Re4ormed’s awesome networking events on our website and through our social media channels. Our partnership has been impactful and has furthered the cause of veterans helping veterans and military spouses helping military spouses.

Another example of shared purpose is our partnership with
SytBiz, a website design firm owned and operated by two sisters, one of whom was a military spouse. They know firsthand the challenges of building and maintaining a career through frequent PCS moves, and the uncertainty military life brings. They made it the mission of SytBiz to help military spouses gain financial freedom and flexibility by building web-based businesses.

Enter Freedom Makers! Many of our virtual assistants (military spouses themselves) have the skills necessary to help these spouses run their businesses. Freedom Makers are talented in
social media management, administrative tasks, blog writing, and customer management. Both SytBiz and Freedom Makers promote the other on their respective web pages and through direct communication in client newsletters. Each recommends the others’ services and offerings wherever appropriate and connects military spouses for mutual benefit.

PARTNERSHIPS SHARE RESOURCES AND EXPERTISE

Partnerships also allow businesses to share resources and expertise. We love our partnership with AMSE, the
Association of Military Spouse Entrepreneurs. AMSE is a global network helping military spouse entrepreneurs find connections, tools, and the resources they need to build their businesses. Because we are both aware of the critical issues that impact military families, the aims and intentions of Freedom Makers and AMSE align beautifully: we both seek to serve the military spouse community.

We each promote the other through social media channels and other venues and share and exchange resources for those we serve. For instance, in June 2021, members of the Freedom Makers core team appeared in a webinar for AMSE’s community members. Jenny Boyles, Erin Close, and Eleanor Lynch hosted a
masterclass on becoming a virtual assistant. Our team was able to share their expertise and help guide interested AMSE military spouses as they begin their virtual assistant career journey. In this way, we are both able to make a positive impact on the military community.

PARTNERSHIPS SHARE VALUES

Freedom Makers has found success by insisting that several values are upheld by each virtual assistant that is part of our company. Those values are reliability, accuracy, availability, decision making, and strong communication. We seek partnerships with like-minded companies, determined to deliver the highest product to their clients.

San Francisco-based
Enlightworks is one of those excellence-driven businesses. Enlightworks builds strategic and modern websites, and they take great pride in the work they do.

Enlightworks uses several Freedom Makers and knows firsthand the value and
professionalism our virtual assistants provide. Enlightworks recommends Freedom Makers to their clients who might need the help of a virtual assistant. And because we are familiar with the service and quality Enlightwork offers, we are happy to recommend Enlightworks to anyone who comes to Freedom Makers looking for website development or SEO support as they enhance their social media management.

PARTNERSHIPS SHARE THE BUSINESS SPACE FOR MUTUAL BENEFIT

At Freedom Makers, we believe in collaboration over competition. The best partnerships are those that help both parties reach their objectives and grow their brand.
For instance, our newest partner, Skyline Business Solutions, supports businesses, entrepreneurs, and executives with operational details. Skyline Business Solutions shares Freedom Makers’ passion and commitment to the military and veteran communities. We have agreed to help facilitate introductions and build strategic relationships by promoting each other through social media platforms, communication with clients, and during in-person and virtual events.

Skyline Business Solutions offers specific expertise in some service areas that exceeds what our virtual assistant can offer.  Our partnership allows us to best serve our clients by referring them to Skyline Business Solutions so that they can get all their needs met.

In Conclusion

Freedom Makers appreciates our partnerships!  We nurture these valuable relationships through our social media channels, webinars, and quarterly newsletters.  We are thrilled to celebrate our partners’ successes and growth and let our audiences know when good things are happening!  Our partnerships grow and
evolve as our individual organizations reach new levels.  We keep building our connections and supporting one another so that we continue to best serve our clients and constituents.

We firmly believe - and are seeing firsthand - that strong partnerships can support business endeavors and help individual companies grow and succeed through combined effort. By partnering with entities that share Freedom Makers’ mission and core values, we are working together to best serve our military families and veterans in the business space. The impact made by our individual companies is significantly enhanced by the collective spirit each partnership offers.
