Attention all nonprofit organizations AND all supporters of the nonprofit sector!

Mark your calendars for Thursday, April 20th at 1:00pm-3:00pm eastern time, as
Freedom Makers Virtual Services and Woodworth Enterprises present The Forum’s National Nonprofit All Call.

WHAT IS AN ALL CALL?

The term "All Call" comes from the military, where it means an announcement made to everyone in a unit or group. In this case, it means an announcement to all nonprofit organizations and those who support them!  Our National Nonprofit All Call is modeled after
The Forum’s All Call which is a monthly virtual forum for veteran and military spouse business owners.  Nationwide and free for all, participants share their businesses and make connections for support and networking.

Thursday’s National Nonprofit All Call is specifically designed to support the growth of veteran and military-spouse run nonprofit organizations.  These organizations play a significant role in the nonprofit sector.

Nonprofit endeavors are vital to society, bridging the gap between government and industry to provide essential services and resources to those in need. And within the larger nonproft community, veterans and military spouses bring unique skills, experiences, and perspectives that are incredibly valuable to the organizations and the people they serve.

Veterans often create and run nonprofit organizations once they leave the service. Many veterans have a strong desire to continue serving their country and community in meaningful ways after they have completed their military service, and starting a nonprofit organization can be a way to channel this desire to continue making a positive impact. Veterans also have the strong leadership, organizational, and strategic planning skills that are essential in the nonprofit sector.

Many veterans and military spouses also want to address specific challenges or issues that they experienced during the time they were closer to direct military service. Issues such as mental health and under and unemployment are not unique to veterans and military families, but are challenges that military-affiliated nonprofits often try to help.

The desire to continue serving their country and community is something that should be celebrated and supported! The National Nonprofit All Call aims to do just that in addition to strengthening the community of like-minded individuals who are dedicated to furthering social good.

The theme of Thursday’s National Nonprofit All Call is: “Creating Community & Connection”

Creating Community And Connection is not just a catchy phrase, but it is the foundation of what nonprofit organizations aim to achieve. It is through creating a sense of community and connection that we can begin to make a positive impact on society because nonprofit organizations cannot operate in a vacuum; they need community support to succeed.

Creating Community And Connection is an opportunity for individuals to network with like-minded individuals, share ideas and best practices, and collaborate on ways to make a positive impact on society.

Our National Nonprofit All Call is not just about providing a platform for networking and learning though. It is also about creating a sense of community and connection that extends beyond the event itself... It is about fostering relationships that will continue to thrive long after the event is over, so that nonprofits and their supporters can begin to make a real difference in society.

Thursday’s event will feature two incredible speakers who have made it their mission to empower and support the veteran and military spouse community.

Melissa Washington, Women’s Veterans Giving.

Melissa Washington is an award-winning advocate, speaker, author, entrepreneur, CEO, publisher, Radio Show Host, and proud Navy veteran. She is the founder of Women Veterans Giving, a nonprofit organization committed to raising funds to provide women veterans with scholarships and professional development opportunities. Melissa will share her inspiring message on the power of giving back and how it can positively impact the lives of women veterans.

Sid Taylor, National Veteran Business Development Council

Sid Taylor is a Marine Corps veteran with over 48 years of experience as a leader in the Automotive Industry. He currently manages the 50 State Manager Program for the National Veteran Business Development Council (NVBDC), a program designed to raise funds, identify ROTC recipients, and award them scholarships so that every community can become more involved with our Veterans. Sid's extensive experience and expertise make him an invaluable member of the NVBDC Board, and his insights on leadership and business development are sure to inspire.

Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity to connect with other nonprofit organizations and learn from some of the most inspiring leaders in the veteran and military spouse community.
